What this site keeps, and what it does not.
Short version: no cookies, no advertising trackers, and what you choose in the tool stays in your browser unless you decide to send it.
What you choose in the tool
Your answers in the coach, editor or ghostwriter tool are worked out in your browser. A short plain-words summary of your answers and your result is kept in your browser's session storage, so that it can go with the optional form if you choose to send it. Session storage is deleted when you close the tab. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you fill in and send the form. This site does not use local storage.
Counting visits
To know whether the site is useful, it counts events such as "a page was viewed," "the tool was started" and "the tool finished with this result." Each count is stored only as a total per day. No cookie is set, and no IP address, device ID or other identifier is stored with the counts.
Links that carry campaign tags
If you arrived from a link with campaign tags in the address (such as utm_source), the site keeps those tags in session storage and sends them with the optional form, so Scribe knows which link brought you. Links from this site to scribemedia.com are tagged to show they came from here.
If you send the form
Your name, email, optional phone number, the page you sent it from, and your tool answers and result (if you used the tool) are sent to Scribe Media and stored in Scribe's customer system (HubSpot). Scribe uses them to get in touch with you and as described in the Scribe Media privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Fonts and hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare and loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Like any web server, these receive standard request information such as your IP address in order to deliver the page.
